Dinosaur Provincial Park

Description

Located 2½ hours east of Calgary, Alberta, along the Red Deer River, this provincial park was established in 1955. The park exhibits prairie grasslands, badlands, and 200-year-old riverside Cottonwoods. In addition, 58 Dinosaur species have been discovered and 500+ specimens removed and now displayed in museums worldwide. In 1979 it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
