Relic of Whaling Days

The wreck of the whaling ship SS Charot rests on the shores of Conception Harbour. She was built in 1923 and broke free of her moorings during a violent 1970 storm that pushed her ashore at this location. Originally, she was thought to be the SS Sposa but in 2013 she was positively identified as the SS Charot
